Born in Africa to an American mother and English father her life’s journey has taken her across the globe traversing the mystical and the mundane. Her debut album, Embody Love, is the fruit of a life of deep enquiry and exploration of many traditions and practices including shamanism, yoga, meditation, conscious dance and kirtan. Music has always been a passion for Julia but it wasn’t until she found Kirtan, a call and response chanting practice, that she overcame the idea that she couldn’t sing. Through this practice her voice literally began to flower. Through this collection of prayers, Julia’s etheric voice goes straight to the heart and is a call to embody the love that you are. The combination of ancient mantra, original melodies and rockstar talent of co-producers Brothers Koren, delivers fresh and potent medicine for the soul.
