Future Visions
futurevisionslab
A group teens from Dobbins High School in Philadelphia set out to make a documentary investigating the root causes under the record levels of violence in the city. The story became a document of their own action-research journey through meeting with community leaders, developing an interest in urban farming, and starting a community garden at school along with experiments in harvesting food and developing natural cosmetics. Featuring interviews with YEAH Philly, House of Umoja, North Philly Peace Park, Urban Creators, Soil Generation, and U School. Learn more and watch the film at: www.phl.earth/futurevisions.
