Mickey McLean
Mickey McLeanMay 2017 saw Mickey celebrating his 20th anniversary as a professional House Music DJ, and it all started in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When it comes to House Music in Malaysia, the history would be incomplete without mentioning the huge input that Mickey has contributed towards House Music and the nightlife industry in general in the country. From his very early beginnings at ’The Arena’ club in Sunway in May 1997, armed only with a box of records and a fresh-faced idealism and hunger, Mickey was definitely in ’the right place at the right time’.At that time in Malaysia, there was no House Music scene. When it comes to playing a purely House Music set, in mid 1997 Mickey could count his contemporaries on the fingers of one hand.A true House Music Pioneer!Since those early innocent and bright-eyed days, Mickey has been fortunate to DJ all over Malaysia - from Langkawi to Kota Kinabalu.Mickey has also DJ’d in the UK, Germany, Singapore, China and the Maldives islands.Sup
