Latinidad, pero make it estadounidense...Growing up as the token Mexican in an overwhelmingly white town was an isolating experience. However, as I got older and gained more control over who I surrounded myself with, I noticed that many other U.S.-born Latines struggled with a lot of the same things I did: being challenged on our Latinidad, confusion over where we belong, fighting to keep our culture alive, desperation for representation, imposter syndrome, questioning which cultural values to live out, etc. Thus, Latinidation was born as a podcast to explore all of these issues and more. It is a place to explore how Latinx/e people who have spent most or all of their lives in the States relate to their cultural heritage: the identity crises, the confusion, the challenges –and of course, the beauty, the discoveries, the celebration.
