Super excited to be launching DevX, our podcast focused on serving the social sector, today.
Of the two BIG reasons to start this passion project, one is to genuinely celebrate the AMAZING work that the social sector does.
The second is that we feel there is real need for a catalytic point of exchange between CSRs/funders and implementing NGOs. After 12+ years working in the social sector we realized there is a massive amount of information asymmetry between those who seek to make impact by funding programs, and those effecting the programs on-ground.Speaking to funders revealed various pain points. Right from being spammed by irrelevant proposals, to not being up to the funders’ mark in terms of process and impact. Speaking to lots of amazing implementing NGOs revealed their own frustrations. From not knowing whom to contact, to not knowing what exactly specific funders really want, and more issues like that.
