Oxime, aka Cecilia Weckstrom, is an emerging, independent producer fusing liquid funk, organic house and electronica. Her focus is timeless yet contemporary sounds that fuel your next run, ride or creative project. The spark to become a self-taught producer and songwriter was programming a Commodore 64 computer to play classical music as a child. The surprising infusions of synths and acoustic instruments into evolving textures have become a subsequent staple of Cecilia's productions. Moving to London from her native Finland coincided with the rise of liquid drum & bass pioneers, such as Fabio & Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky, and labels including Shogun Audio and Hospital Records. Other important influences include many Jazz legends, Ludovic Navarre (St. Germain), Ninja Tune and Blue Note artists and of course, Four Tet, Bonobo and other great pioneers in the electronica, organic house and downtempo genres.
