transfigured boundaries
Sofía Peypoch + Hyash Tanmoy
transfigured boundaries is a collaboration between Hyash Tanmoy and Sofía Peypoch. Project created in 2022 as a film program that screened at Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City.
We featured 39 artists spanning Iran, Pakistan, Bhutan, India, Uk, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, Thailand, Hong Kong, Spain, The Netherlands, Berlin, USA and Canada, screening a total of 56 films.
Its first edition showcased compelling stories of identity, resilience, freedom, memory, sexuality, dissent, heartbreak, futurism, migration, personal hell, and even ‘a horse from heaven’.
Our program pushes the idea of film itself outside preconceived notions and beyond the limits of form and meaning. We thank the generosity of the artists that believed in our project.
