Random Sampling

Utah State University Office of Research

Host Thomas Sorenson is your guide to the research happening at Utah State University and the people behind it. Each month, Thomas sits down with a USU researcher to explore the discoveries, inventions, and ideas that are shaping Utah and the world beyond, from the lab to the field to your everyday life.Along the way, "Random Sampling" digs into the personal stories behind the science: what sparked a researcher's curiosity, what challenges they faced, and why their work matters to the people who live, work, and learn in Utah. Whether you're a lifelong learner, a student, a community leader, or simply curious about how discoveries are made, tune in to meet the Aggies who are turning big questions into real-world impact.
