Crowd Pleasers
THE podcast about B Movies.
Forget the Oscars. Forget the blockbusters. We're here for the street food of cinema: B MOVIES.
Join bestselling* novelists Johnny Shaw and Jay Stringer as they dive into the funny, inventive, and occasionally unhinged world of low-budget filmmaking.
Each episode, Johnny and Jay pick one film (or several, depending on how badly they lose control of the conversation) from across the wild history of B Movies. (Your mileage may vary on what qualifies as a B Movie.)
This isn't another "so bad it's good" podcast. We're here because creativity thrives under pressure, because ingenuity beats a big budget, and because sometimes the most exciting filmmaking happens when nobody's got any money.
Expect passionate arguments, deep dives, wild tangents, questionable jokes, and a healthy amount of swearing.
This is CROWD PLEASERS.
