Tropeography
KT
Hi there! I'm KT and Tropeography is a show that came about from my incessant pestering of my loved ones to discuss where certain Hollywood film conventions and archetypes (Hipsters! Sk8rs! One bed, two enemies! Oh my!) originate from. Together, let's dig into what unique historical context, sociology, popular consciousness and industry intervention contribute to our beloved film and media tropes and how they shape social and cultural narratives today. Art imitates life and then life imitates art and then it becomes a TikTok trend and now I'm making a podcast about it... woof. Let's dig in!
